Termites are the most destructive of pests. They often go unnoticed until it's too late, causing massive amounts of structural damage to properties which can be costly to fix or even irreparable. Without a proper inspection or protection plan in place, a property remains at risk to an infestation.
Our termite plans range from recurring inspections, prevention treatments and full blown eradication in the event of termite activity that hasn't already damaged the structure beyond repair. There are two courses of action in treating termites.
Where protection from an active nest or just for piece of mind is needed, a chemical barrier system can be installed which provides ongoing protection for up to 6 years. This treatment forms a protective barrier around the building perimeter.
Used where immediate action is required to eradicate an active nest. Treatment is typically over a 3 month period, with inspections made every 3 weeks to replenish bait and monitor activity.
The treatment has baiting stations placed in active areas. Future termite activity will be localised in these stations, meaning no further structural damage persists as the treatment continues. During this period, the colony will consume the bait, take it back to the nest which will consequently eradicate the colony from the inside out.
Each treatment plan has benefits and drawback, and are entirely dependant on individual circumstances, like the size of the infestation, the type or property and the extent of damage. All these will be discussed with our expert technician, and the most effective treatment/prevention plan will be created for your individual needs.
Detecting termite activity is no easy feat, and it is strongly recommended you seek an experienced technician to inspect all elements of the property, But some indication signs include
As a note of caution, the above mentioned signs are also signs of general wear and tear and other possible forms of damage to a property, which is why it is best to schedule an inspection with one of our trained technicians.
